Pace of work on CPEC projects accelerated during rule of incumbent government
In this program, three topics were discussed including Pakistan’s welcoming of Russia, Ukraine wheat export deal, importance of CPEC for Pakistan’s economic development and current government’s efforts to expedite it, and importance of stability in Afghanistan.
Speaking in program on telephone, Former Ambassador Arif Kamal on the issue of Ukraine, Russia wheat deal said it will help to ensure supply of these essential commodities to the world food markets.
Former Ambassador Ali Sarwar Naqvi said agreement between Ukraine and Russia will increase the supply of Ukrainian wheat to various countries and regions in Middle East and Africa and bring down the prices of this important commodity.
On China Pakistan Economic Corridor, leading political economist Shakeel Ramay emphasized that second phase of CPEC is about forging business to business ties and we must facilitate the international business firms willing to invest in Pakistan.
IR Expert Dr Zahid Anwar Khan said China Pakistan Economic Corridor is the most important project for Pakistan as well as for China. He said first phase of CPEC has been completed in which millions of people are getting employment in both countries.
