Speaking in the program, renowned Economist Dr Noor Fatima said keeping in view the current political situation of the country and speculations around economy, the statement of the Finance Minister was timely. She said the government's decision to impose a ban on imports of various products is helpful in saving the precious foreign reserves.
Eminent Economist Dr. Talat Shabbir said Finance Minister is well aware of the importance of putting the country's economy on the right track. He said it is a tough time for the world economy and Pakistan is no exception.
On the issue of improvement in Pak, Afghan ties, distinguished professor Dr. Zahid Anwar Khan said the visit of interim Minister for Border and Tribal Affairs of Afghanistan Maulana Kalim-ur-Rahman to Pakistan will further strengthen the trade and bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
